What is Bokeh? Bokeh is the blurring of photography for aesthetic appeal. It is used to enhance photos to draw attention to a certain part of the photo or just to just look pretty in general. Bokeh comes from the Japanese word boke (ボケ). The word means “blur” or “haze“. Shooting a bokeh image is best when using a fast lens. Of course you can still achieve this effect with a slow lens with the widest aperture possible and creating distance between the subject and the background. You can still achieve fun results with cheap cameras using this technique. Keep in mind that a lot of the great colours and moods that accompany these photographs come from the post-processing, usually in the photoshop. I have included a free 5 pack of Bokeh Background you can use for whatever you like! Check them out!
